Japanese cuisine is increasingly becoming popular among New Zealanders. With people becoming more health conscious heavy, spicy food is being passed up in favour of light cuisine like Japanese.
Customers get the full hospitality experience here – sitting in a beautifully decorated restaurant, waited on by charming staff, and enjoying Yoshi’s food. An excellent way to dip into Japanese cuisine is by going for the delightfully named Yaruki O-Makase course meal for two people. It’s quite substantial –

If you want something light, there’s Salmon Nuta – salmon, avocado and cream in rolled cucumber pepper. Lunch provides a wide choice of wonderfully fresh sushi and sashimi, entrees like Chicken Kara-age, Scallop Misoyaki and Beef Tataki. There are also lunch specials and the Chicken Combo for just $9.99. Chicken Teriyaki for $14.99 is the dinner special(Tuesday to Wednesday Only).
Takeaways are available. Yaruki is fully licensed, with good wine, sake, Japanese and local beers, teas, soft drinks.
