Chef Travis Clive-Griffin has worked with food his whole life. As a 10-year-old kitchen hand he stood on a milk crate to wash dishes. At 14 he’d left school for a chef apprenticeship. And by his early twenties he was working for a Michelin starred chef in the United Kingdom. Travis and your co-host, his wife Eve, have worked together in hospitality for three decades and most recently created Greytown’s Saluté Tapas Restaurant & Bar which they successfully operated for 16 years.
Travis’ Lebanese heritage certainly informs his palate but he draws culinary influences from around the globe. By offering his signature small tasting plates – ‘tapas-style’ – Travis encourages you to select a number to share. This is conscious food, food for nutrition as well as social occasion. It’s a fresh, lively, modern cuisine which changes with the seasons or on a chef’s whim.
