Hapuku Kitchen is focused on reconnecting the kitchen to the land and sea, celebrating the abundant larder nature has to offer and taking inspiration from the wild landscape. We invite you into our home, located between the Kaikoura mountains and the Pacific Ocean, for a culinary adventure that celebrates the season.
Immersive and hands-on paddock-and-sea-to-plate cooking experiences inspired by the wild and natural Kaikōura region. We promise you’ll experience the very best ingredients caught, picked and gathered from the region and depart with a deeper understanding of the food on your plate. Our half-day and full-day cooking experiences include a tour of our property involving harvesting and foraging from our gardens, hands-on cooking, creating and enjoying a seasonal feast, local wine/beer, a Hapuku apron and recipe booklet.
The Supper Club:
At Hapuku Kitchen we offer a unique dining experience in our home, inspired by our natural surroundings. Our three-course, set menus are a celebration of the seasons and everything the wild, rugged region has to offer. Our dining table seats twelve guests and while you're savouring the flavours of Kaikoura, you'll hear stories about how we grow our food, forage from the mountains to the sea and the people behind locally sourced ingredients. Get a group of friends or family together and book the entire table of twelve, or book a seat and meet other people interested in good food and great company.
