Introducing “Our Kai Stories” ~ A celebration of rangatahi / young people across Aotearoa who are finding, talking about, growing or cooking their kai/food!
If you are a young person with a kai story to tell, over the next month @OurKaiStories invites you to share your Kai journeys with us on Instagram, however you want, and be in to win weekly prizes (cash and spot prizes).
These korero/stories can be written, collages, poems, photos or video clips - anything you like!
You can send or upload your story/artwork/korero or expression from Wednesday 5th June - Monday 1st July.
Simply upload to Instagram and tag @OurKaiStories & @Eat.NewZealand
OR email it through to us: hello@eat.newzealand.nz
All entries will be in to win cash prizes including:
We’re excited to have Damaris Coulter Ngati Kahu, Te Rarawa of @therealnessworld as the Head Hustler on this kaupapa - she will be holding this space over on Instagram (@ourkaistories) and sharing some epic kai stories from her whare and across the motu.
If you aren’t a rangatahi yourself, but know of young people who love finding, cooking, sharing, learning or growing food - encourage them to get involved!
Also for any young people who aren't up for sharing content - we'd love for rangatahi to fill in our survey with questions around finding and growing their own kai. More details on that soon.
It’s that easy! Join us and share in celebrating our kai stories this Matariki!
*Note; we won’t use your kai stories for anything beyond this kaupapa.
We'll keep you up to date with all things food going on around New Zealand
(But don't worry, we won't spam your inbox with emails)
