Organic Tempeh in the Heart of Marlborough

A delicious and organic cheese alternative has been quietly doing the rounds at the local Blenheim and Nelson markets for a few years now. And demand for the product has soared since it’s humble beginnings. Tempeh might not be the first thing that comes to mind when writing your shopping list or wondering what to cook for dinner. But once you’ve given the good stuff from Found Tempeh a go, you might just be converted (vegan, vegetarian or otherwise!).

Tempeh is an amazing source of protein, probiotics, vitamins and minerals and is such a versatile ingredient. There are endless dishes to be whipped up using Tempeh as offered by Matt & Tatiana at the infrequent music venue The Plant.

So, if the Nelson or Blenheim market is one of your local haunts, or you happen to be there by chance on a Saturday/Sunday morning, go see Matt & Tatiana at Found. You’ll be able to pick them out of a handful stalls in a split second, they will be the cute couple smiling, laughing and chatting away with whomever passes by. Currently on rotation are:

  • Chickpea
  • Lentil
  • Brown rice & Sunflower seed
  • Adzuki bean, Quinoa and Wakame seaweed

You can flick them a message to pre-order and pick up from their warehouse/gig venue The Plant, pick up direct from the market or if you ask nice enough, they sometimes deliver straight to your door!

How’s that for service!?
