The Arataki Honey Visitor Centre is the showcase for our Arataki Honey brand and can be found on its original site (1944) in Havelock North, close to the iconic Te Mata Peak.
We offer FREE, self-guided, drop-in tours, providing an amazing insight into the honeybee and honey production.
Observation hives enable visitors to explore the life of these essential little creatures up close, and learn all about their interesting social structure. We have recently added an observation window onto our outdoor hives, where in summer it is possible to watch a beekeeper at work .
The fun, interactive environment ensures an enjoyable and memorable visit, whatever your age!.
Finally the sweet part - FREE honey tasting – 100% pure Arataki New Zealand Honey.
